J.M. Updates!

Hey Everybody!
We know we haven’t had many blog updates lately, and for that we apologize. We’ve been far too busy traveling, interviewing interesting personalities and getting the scoop on this whole American culture ‘thing’. We’ve been everywhere (blues clubs in Clarksdale, hunting settlements off the Mississippi, French cafes in NYC, Cajun hootenannies in Louisianna and on and on throughout this great nation of ours). Don’t believe me? Just check our Multimedia Page for some exclusive sneak previews of segments for the final documentary – I’m sure you’ll change your tune.
In case this is your first time visiting us, here is some information that you might be interested in:
Tailgate The Nation’s, Jean-Michel Werk is producing an independent travel documentary and, along with his brother, Stephan, are attempting to capture ‘American Culture’ and distill it down into a feature length film.
How are we doing this, you ask?
We are driving a 20-year-old RV around the nation a few times following the college football season and capturing ‘local culture’ along the way (music, food, underground hotspots, unique locations, weird attractions, interesting personalities, etc.)
How can I follow the project, you ask?
Several ways. Here’s a few:
Tailgate the Nation’s Official Website
Our Facebook Fan Page (please fan us!)
Tailgate The Nation’s Official Twitter
Tailgate The Nation’s Youtube Channel
Tailgate the Nation’s Flickr Channel
When can I see the film, you ask?
Relatively soon! We are still in the production cycle. We have been on the road for about 75 days now and still have about three weeks to go. Once filming is completed we’ll finish post production, and set out on a tour of our film throughout the U.S.
How can I help with the project, you ask?

Thanks for asking! So far we’ve been covering all the expenses out of our own pockets. We still have about a month on the road. If you want to donate a couple dollars we’ll be able to make our project a success and make it back home in one piece. Check us out our site. If you like what you see please donate. Anything helps! You can click the link to the left to donate via PayPal.
FLYER Or if you can’t donate cash/ want to help out in a different way, please grab our flyer and post it up in your favorite pub/ coffee shop/ music venue/ bowling alley/ church/ etc.

In addition, we are still shopping for sponsors. If you know of a business or charity that may want to get involved, don’t hesitate to send us a message.

Also, we’re looking for some good tunes to use in the final cut of the film. If you’re in a band, know someone who plays bagpipes or can bust a freestyle rap – let us know! Eclecticism is the goal.

Thanks everybody, we’ll see you on the road!
